Many new golfers wants to know this.” Should I Wear glove while putting?
Well, It is up to you whether to wear gloves or not while putting. With so many various textures, sizes, and designs to choose from, it may take some time to find out which one is ideal for you. We all have different hands, so test them out before making a final selection.
Some of the best players in the game never even wore gloves. One notable champion that springs to mind is Fred Couples.
He still doesn’t wear one when he competes on the Champions Tour.
In contrast, Jack Nickaus used to put his glove on before a round and not take it off until he stepped off the 18th green. It all boils down to personal preference.
I prefer to wear a glove when playing golf, but I always remove it between strokes and during putting. Because I’ve been doing it for so long, I just put it in my back pocket.
What is your opinion on Golf gloves? I practice almost everyday Putting and never wear a golf glove. Then when I play I always wear a golf glove. Don’t really know why except when I learned how to play everybody wore a Golf Glove. I never bothered to take it off for Putting, but, I noticed alot of Pros and non pros take it off for putting. I have taken it off in the past for putting and I forget to put it back on for the next Tee-Shot. As you know the mind is the second thing to go, the golf swing being the first. What is your feeling about Playing with a Glove??

So, What is the purpose of Golf Gloves
Golf gloves are not needed, although they are suggested for all levels of golfers. Gloves are typically worn on the “lead” hand, which is the hand at the top of the grip.
Right-handed players often wear a glove on their left hand, whereas left-handed players typically wear a glove on their right hand.
While most golfers wear gloves, others choose to remove them for short-iron shots and putts in order to better “feel” the clubface as it strikes the ball.
Golf Gloves provides Grip, Helps to prevent Blister and callous and provides warmth and dryness to the player.
Why do golfers do not wear 2 Golf Gloves?
Why don’t golfers use two gloves? Most golfers do not use two gloves because they might cause you to lose your grip on the clubs and make it difficult to notice when the club slips in your hand.
This might result in erratic golf strokes. Wearing just one glove gives you enough grip and feel to hit a terrific golf shot.
Most of us wear only one glove since that’s how we were trained. It’s how everyone approaches the game.
In fact, if you come out on the tee-box wearing two gloves, your pals will most likely be asking questions and throwing barbs at you. On the other hand, you do see people wearing two gloves on occasion.
Furthermore, if a baseball player wears two gloves, why not a golfer? It all boils down to personal choice in the end.
Why do pro golfers take off their golf glove after every single shot just to put it on again?
This can be for any of a number of reasons. Keeping moisture off the glove and avoiding skin damage is the one that makes the most sense.
For many of the pro golfers, putting on the glove happens at a specific point in their “pre-shot routine,”
When you get to a certain skill level in golf, you begin to notice that the game is about systematically eliminating variables: maintain spine angle, maintain grip pressure, maintain stance and so on.
So you start to notice that when you hit your best shots, there’s a particular series of events that leads up to that “defining moment” that we seek to re-create on nearly every shot. So you take note, and try to re-create that sequence before every shot.
A golf glove helps you grip the club. If you swing hard and your hands are sweaty or wet, the club can slip.
Many golfers remove their glove when they don’t feel like the shot they’re attempting could result in slippage.
That means most of them will take off the club for chips, short pitches and for putting. Some also believe that with these “feel” shots they don’t want anything inhibiting that “feel”.
Some golfers will leave their glove ON until they get to the green and but leave it on from their tee shot through their approach shot (this is what most people do). I don’t see many golfers taking it off and putting it back on between EVERY shot.
Nevertheless, gloves get saturated with sweat, they make your hand clammy, so taking it off when you don’t need it allows your hand to breathe, and delays how long it’ll take before the glove gets too sweaty to use.
Which hand should you wear gloves on?
The answer is quite Straight forward and simple, Mostly players wear one glove on their weak hand or the non-dominant hand.
So, a right-handed golfer would wear one on his left hand, while a left-handed golfer would wear one on his right hand.
Having said that, not every golfer wears a single glove all the time.
Some players never wear a golf glove at all. Others, like PGA Tour pro Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey, wear two gloves, one on each hand.
Many conventional players, both on the PGA Tour and at your local course, will wear their gloves for full swings (drivers, longer irons from the fairway), but will remove them for putting and strokes near the green.
The argument here is that a player requires greater feel on short-game strokes, and a glove may interfere with that sense.

Are Golf Gloves Supposed to snug?
A correctly fitted glove is just as crucial to your game as the perfect club or golf ball. Your glove is your club’s closest point of contact.
Your hand may move within your glove if it is not correctly fitted. Any movement might jeopardise your swing, therefore proper fit is critical to your game.
Here are some things to watch for:
It’s as though you’re wearing a second skin.
A correctly fitting golf glove should feel like a second skin, with no slack material over the palm and fingers.
Fingers Should Be Tight/snug
If you have excess material at the top of your fingers, you should size down or try a Cadet glove in your size.
Why do Golfer keep their Glove in back pocket?
The simple explanation is that it is more convenient. Your rear pocket is ideal for storing your golf glove while you make your putt, and it’s also the simplest location to retrieve it – rather than searching through your bag or trying to take it out of your front pocket.
